"Knitting and crocheting has been my hobby since childhood. I started making stuffed toys for children hospitals several years ago. It has become a passion, I absolutely love making them. My “Critters” are a nice cuddly, hug-gable, lovable size for the children. And what’s truly amazing is how much pure pleasure a person can receive by creating them."
My patterns are written so that they are easy to follow, and include photos and instructions to help you. If you haven’t tried making a toy using the knitting in the round method, give it a try, your in for a very pleasant surprise! If you have a question contact me at bjfromnv@gmail.com

Lucky Me!

Howdy do! Well the tennis thing turned out great, the only problem being I didn’t get to see the end of either of the single matches! Rain delays, etc. Very frustrating but a fantastic tourney. I was hoping my Scottish dude would have done a little better. But with Wimbledon starting tomorrow lets cheer him on. Here………here………

Well this might turn into a kind of rant, so if it gets deleted later, don’t think a thing about it. I guess I just can’t get over how rude and cruel people can be. I am talking about text or e-mail messaging. It seems that some people are so rude and crude, because they don’t bother to reread what they have written or they don’t give a sh-t and enjoy hurting people. So many times belonging to different computer groups in the past, I witnessed how easily the written word can be taken out of content, or just because of the way the words are written they can cause major damage! I have seen friendships permanently destroyed. So as a result when I write something that might be misunderstood, I reread it and try to edit so that it is clear and certainly not insulting or cruel. I don’t work that way. I will admit in my younger years, I would not hesitate to let someone know that I did not appreciate their insensitivity to my feelings. I guess what I continue to find so shocking is how people can vent and say cruel hurtful things to a complete stranger.

I think you have figured out by now that I was the “Lucky” recipient of just such an e-mail.  Two of them in fact, and I wrestled with myself and I am proud to say I won, in the fact that I did not lower myself to the substandard cruel and insensitive human who wrote these messages to me. I deleted both of them and have blocked this person from contacting me in the future. Her messages were so poisonous that I find my self even the next day still reeling from her attack.

It seems this person bought one of my patterns and since she is such an expert knitter she got stuck almost immediately. Well dang……..so then the poison starts…………….bla bla bla………..she  does not know how to read a pattern? And she has made ark loads full of toys? I know I sound childish, but I don’t get a kick out of hurting people, it DOES NOT make my day. She ranted and raved, criticizing all of my work. So even after I wrote back to this person and explained that there was no mistake………………….I got another message and the nasty tirade only continued. But let me tell you, it totally ruined my day.  So please people when you are writing to someone, especially a stranger, try to be polite. We are not machines………………I am a human being………a little kindness goes a long way in this mean old world we live in.

black and white

It truly is one my biggest dreams that you will try one of my patterns and that it will turn out so fantastic the very first time, that you won’t believe your eyes! And if you think you have found a mistake or typo, please contact me.  Any help I can offer please don’t hesitate, I can remember years ago I was trying to make a crocheted dress for my daughter, and I had no one to help me with the pattern. I am talking at least 45 years ago. I must have read and reread that same line 500 times! Because with crochet you know if it’s not right if it’s not the correct shape. Luckily I figured it out, and I was able to finish it. But could you imagine if I would have contacted the designer and told her I wanted a refund because I didn’t like the way she wrote her pattern? Question: have you ever seen a pattern from the early 1900’s? Well baby, let’s just say this………….no one is gonna take your hand and lead you down the garden path. Sigh………………..well you know what? I do feel better………….and maybe I hit a few familiar chords for you? I really hope so…………….too much cruelty in this world…………….when all we need is love…………..<3

take care………….have fun…………….:)
