"Knitting and crocheting has been my hobby since childhood. I started making stuffed toys for children hospitals several years ago. It has become a passion, I absolutely love making them. My “Critters” are a nice cuddly, hug-gable, lovable size for the children. And what’s truly amazing is how much pure pleasure a person can receive by creating them."
My patterns are written so that they are easy to follow, and include photos and instructions to help you. If you haven’t tried making a toy using the knitting in the round method, give it a try, your in for a very pleasant surprise! If you have a question contact me at bjfromnv@gmail.com

What’s Happening with you?

Gee, it’s really hard to believe that it’s 2015 already. The month of December is a bit of a haze. I started making home made gifts a few years ago and much as I love to do it. The old gray mare “ain’t what she used to be”! Then throw in the fact I have a great gran coming in Feb. so I decided I needed to make a blanket and a sweater for him. Hayden Alexander, now isn’t that a powerful name? Hayden I wish you a life filled with love and joy!

Now on the knitting front, I did get everything made on time for Xmas. But I am wanting to make something for myself. Now I’m not a twiggy and I am built straight up and down, so finding a sweater that is the least bit flattering can be a real challenge.

Seems like I spent 2 weeks looking a patterns. And it seems like if I find something I like, I know darn well it’s not going to look good on me. I also prefer seamless patterns. I have never been very good at seaming, and I think if they are sloppy they will stand out like ugly mistakes. So to those of you who are good at seaming I applaud you.

I am working on a pattern I found on Ravelry called “Cassis”. I think it’s kind of an interesting pattern and one which will be very easy to modify. I am at the stage where I need to try it on, the only problem is I will need to put the entire sweater on waste yarn in order to do this! Grrrrrrrr

Anyway, I guess I am checking in with myself. There have been a lot of changes in my life this past year, and it has really shown in my knitting. I just haven’t had the time, and I really miss it! So let’s hope that I can get some regular knitting in from now on. Everyone and everything is fine here…………..Stella is going to be 3 years old pretty soon. I will include a couple pictures of her in her snowsuit and snow shoes. She really enjoys them, so nice to see her out in the snow and not having problems with ice. I hope you are all well. Remember…………….have fun!
