"Knitting and crocheting has been my hobby since childhood. I started making stuffed toys for children hospitals several years ago. It has become a passion, I absolutely love making them. My “Critters” are a nice cuddly, hug-gable, lovable size for the children. And what’s truly amazing is how much pure pleasure a person can receive by creating them."
My patterns are written so that they are easy to follow, and include photos and instructions to help you. If you haven’t tried making a toy using the knitting in the round method, give it a try, your in for a very pleasant surprise! If you have a question contact me at bjfromnv@gmail.com

Feels Like Summer

The last few days it really has warmed up outside. It’s like one day summer will get here pretty soon, and the next day BAM summer’s here. And we do have humidity up here, so it’s been muggy as heck. Now I’m sure you are really interested in an Idaho weather report? LOL……….well maybe not.

On the knitting front it has been really really interesting. With the help of a new acquaintance on Ravelry, I have learned a lot of new things. With her help I even started a test knit of my latest pattern “Lil Arfin Annie” and it’s been great fun. Have already had some great suggestions and found a typo/mistake and that’s what I was looking for. I don’t know why you can go over something a gazillion times, and the error is right there, but you totally space it. When I was out walking this morning I’m thinking about a certain row, and doing math in my head just doesn’t happen. So I’m wishing I had pencil and paper while I’m walking. Amazing what you can think of when you are walking. Anyway…………….Been making corrections and enjoying the group bjfromnv-designs so if you want to come check it out, come on over. The price is right.

Also wanted to share a pic of a butterfly I took a few days ago, it was so stunning I ran in the house and grabbed my camera, but try as I might I couldn’t get it to turn it’s back and spread it’s wings. I discover that it’s a Tiger Swallowtail, great name huh?tricky

So anyway I thought you might enjoy the picture………….I’ve been knitting teddy bears, and right now I’m working on the 3rd one. I enjoy making my patterns, but  I do like to try others also. I just found a free one on Ravelry called The Parlor Cat. It’s a great pattern and I was very surprised to see a link to a youtube of mine about W&T in the round. Imagine my surprise. Anyway, check out this pattern. I will post a pic after I make one. I think this pic of Arfin Annie is cute!

So keep cool, and remember to always have fun! Winking smile
